While it’s perfectly legal to buy cannabis from Venice Beach dispensaries, THC is not legal federally. That means legally purchased products are still viewed as illegal drugs by the federal government and are not allowed to cross state lines.

Even if you’re traveling between two states that have legalized recreational use, you’re still subject to federal law. We do not recommend carrying cannabis products while you travel.
